Project Development and Implementation

To achieve the net-zero goal, immediate carbon sequestration is compulsory. At PZE, we proactively develop and execute carbon sequestration projects, utilizing biochar production and application as integral components of our strategy

Wastewater, sewage sludge and organic waste as valuable raw materials for clean water, biochar and carbon credits
Our technology goes far beyond simply removing and storing CO₂. We use wastewater as a valuable resource and can even process sewage sludge into biochar. In addition, we are able to process organic waste and green waste and not only deliver carbon credits as output, but also clean water and valuable biochar that can be reused.

We use wastewater as input, which is cleaned in a "constructed wetland" (plant-based sewage treatment plant). A downstream biomass farm is planted with bamboo and irrigated with the purified wastewater, subsequently drawing CO₂ out of the air.

The bamboo is then harvested and processed into biochar together with sewage sludge and organic waste in a pyrolysis plant. Not only is biochar produced, but also energy in the form of heat, which can be converted into climate-neutral electricity, for example. The biochar, in turn, contains permanently bound CO₂ and can be used as a carbon sink in agriculture or in the construction industry.

Our goal is not only to make an active contribution to climate protection, but also to be profitable. Our technology enables us to deliver not only carbon credits, but also clean water, CO2-neutral construction materials and biochar-based products.

On our website we clearly present our process in an explanatory video and give insights into our factory/farm. We invite you to tackle projects with us or buy emission rights and thus make an active contribution to climate protection.
