General Information
German Water Partnership (GWP) is hosting the GWP Annual Conference 2023 taken place in Berlin. The total GHG emission of the conference is estimated at 10 tons CO2e.
ATB Water GmbH is asked by the organizer to compensate the impact. ATB Water GmbH implements a carbon sequestration project in mountainous area in Viet Nam to compensate 10 tons CO2e and support the local communities.
To boost the income of smallholder forest owners with FSC certified bamboo in Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, they can produce bamboo-biochar from low-quality or residual bamboo. This biochar can be directly applied or mixed with organic compost for coffee plantations, following a standardized carbon sequestration method. It enhances income and promotes sustainable practices.
