CO2 compensation project on behalf of JTI Vietnam
JTI (Vietnam) Pte Ltd. wish to offset and compensate CO2 emissions generated by the production of their
products, and at the same time create additional value for small rural communities in Vietnam.

• Compensating JTI’s anual carbon emission from their bussiness activties in Vietnam
• Holding volunteer days
General Information
To compensate the carbon emission of JTI:
• 03 hectare of bamboo plantation in Thanh Hoa
province has been planted and taken care of,
which is equivalent to 156 tons of CO2 being
sequestrated on a yearly basis.
• 30~40 tons of low-quality bamboo was buried
underground in 2021 and in 2022, which
compensated for 45 tons and 46 tons of CO2e in
2021 and 2022, respectively.
Since 2020, Carbon Solutions International – Water
Solutions South-East Asia has been holding different
volunteer activities annually for volunteers from JTI
Vietnam and Vinataba.
